The command
.B getjournal
is part of the accounting/general-ledger system included with
.BR /rdb .
It copies, totals, and adjusts journals from other parts of the
business system.
These subsidiary journals are created automatically by the
operations of sales, purchasing, and other departments.
It also gets the inventory value for the table
.BR journaladjust .

The command
